First Baptist Church Youth Group Purpose Statement: "Our youth ministry exists to REACH non-Christian students, to help them SHARE in God's Word, to OFFER themselves in SERVICE to Christ, and to CARE for one another.
Jeff came to FBC in March of 2002. He has been in student ministry for nine years. He is married to Keri, and they have two sons, Eric and Alex.
The mission of FBC student ministries is to evangelize and disciple young people. Our goal is to give our youth a strong foundation from God's Word on which to build their lives. When a young person leaves our ministry, we want to echo the words of Paul when he writes in Colossians 2:6-8.
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ."
It is our desire to see young people give their lives to Christ, and then disciple them into spiritually mature Christians who serve God now, as well as in the future.
